OLDE NAPLES. Mangrove Café is located in the heart of one of Naples's top shopping districts. This hip but casual restaurant's staff is friendly and helpful, and the nouveau cuisine offered here is second to none. Popular menu items include alligator piquante, escargot mia, and Chef Douglas Amaral's plantain chips, and homemade dessert dishes are very popular with the local crowd. Mangrove offers daily lunch specials as well as a lunch punch card whereby your 10th meal is free.

OLDE NAPLES. Maxwell's on the Bay is one of the Naples area's favorite seafood restaurants. This restaurant is simply decorated, the decorators opting to emphasize the picturesque views of Naples Bay en lieu of obtrusive interior furnishings. The result is a dining environ that is comfortable, if not homey. The menu offers such savory entrées as New England lobster, nut crusted grouper, and snapper maison. Non-seafood options, like their excellent roast Canadian duck, are also available. Reservations are suggested, especially for dinner.
